The National Youth Service Corps has announced that the 2026 Batch B Stream I Orientation Course will commence with the reception and registration of Prospective Corps Members on Wednesday, 10th June 2026.

Registration will run until midnight on Friday, 12th June 2026, across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, after which the Swearing in Ceremony for mobilised Prospective Corps Members will hold on the same date.

The Orientation Course is scheduled to conclude on Tuesday, 30th June 2026.

In a statement signed by the Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, the NYSC management extended best wishes to Nigerian graduates mobilised for the 2026 Batch B Stream I service year, urging them to travel safely to their various Orientation Camps across the country.

The scheme also restated its standing warning against night travel, directing Prospective Corps Members to halt their journeys once it is 6.00 pm.

Corps members who are still in transit by that hour are advised to pass the night at any available Corps Members Lodge, military formation, police station or outpost, or the palace of a traditional ruler anywhere in the country, before continuing their journey the following morning.

The NYSC management noted that the safety of Prospective Corps Members remains a priority as the scheme prepares to receive a new set of Nigerian graduates into the service year programme.

Candidates mobilised for the 2026 Batch B Stream I are therefore encouraged to plan their travel, taking cognisance of the 6.00 pm travel advisory to avoid exposure to risks associated with night journeys on Nigerian roads.
