Management of Southern Delta University, Ozoro, has placed restrictions on vehicles entering the Campus and banned all forms of sign out celebrations, as part of measures to preserve order through the examination and post examination period running from 13 July to 15 August 2026.
The directive, contained in an internal memorandum signed by the Registrar, Mrs Ejiroghene Etobro, prohibits students from writing on shirts or engaging in similar sign out activities anywhere within the Institution.
Under the memo, students have also been barred from inviting friends, guardians, or visitors onto Campus for sign out celebrations, while all forms of partying within the Campus and hostels have been strictly outlawed for the duration of the restriction.
The Registrar's memo further disclosed that the Campus 2 gate will remain closed from morning until 12 noon between 20 July and 15 August 2026, a measure aimed at controlling movement during the sensitive period.
Students were separately cautioned against climbing the perimeter fence, while visits to water pools within the University were declared strictly prohibited.
Management warned that any student found violating the directives would face disciplinary sanctions, and confirmed that the Chief Security Officer and other relevant authorities have been instructed to ensure full compliance across the Campus.
The restrictions come as the University, established as a full degree awarding Institution in 2021 after operating for years as a Polytechnic, continues to tighten internal regulations around its examination calendar.
