Final year students in 20 Nigerian universities now stand a chance to earn N100,000 and professional exposure through the Stransact Honours Roll, a new initiative launched by Stransact Chartered Accountants on Tuesday.
The firm, a member of RSM International, said the scheme will annually honour five graduating students from each of the 20 participating universities, which were identified through the Times Higher Education World University Rankings.
Eligible candidates must be studying Sciences, Mathematics, Engineering and Technology, Business and Accounting, or Law and Humanities. Beyond the cash award, each recipient will receive formal recognition as a Stransact Honours Roll recipient and an invitation to join the Stransact Talent Vault, a structured programme offering practical skills development and professional exposure for graduates.
The Managing Partner of Stransact Chartered Accountants, Eben Joels, described the initiative as a deliberate effort to connect academic excellence with real career opportunity. "As a firm committed to developing future ready talent, we are delighted to introduce the Stransact Honours Roll. This merit based initiative celebrates exceptional final year students in top ranked Nigerian universities and connects them to meaningful opportunities," he stated.
Joels also recognised the contribution of the participating institutions to the scheme's success. "Inclusion in this programme is a testament to the dedication of these universities to academic excellence, research impact, and global relevance. We celebrate their leadership, faculty, and students," he said.
He further described the Stransact Talent Vault as the foundation of the firm's long term talent development strategy. "STV is the cornerstone of our approach to building a pipeline of ethical, innovative, and execution focused professionals," Joels added.
