Looking for an alternative route to gain admission into 200 Level without writing another UTME? The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has opened applications for its School of Foundation Studies (JUPEB) programme for the 2026/2027 academic session.
The programme gives qualified candidates the opportunity to secure Direct Entry admission into 200 Level at UNILAG after successfully completing the Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) programme. Outstanding candidates may also be considered for admission into selected partner universities in the United Kingdom, Scotland and China.
UNILAG JUPEB Programme 2026/2027
The School of Foundation Studies programme is designed for candidates seeking Direct Entry admission into undergraduate degree programmes through JUPEB.
Candidates who successfully complete the programme and pass the JUPEB examination may be considered for admission into 200 Level at UNILAG through JAMB Direct Entry.
Admission into undergraduate programmes is subject to the approved quota for each course. As a result, success in the JUPEB examination does not automatically guarantee admission into a preferred course.
UNILAG may also conduct additional screening measures where the number of qualified candidates exceeds available spaces.

UNILAG JUPEB Admission Requirements
To be eligible for admission, candidates must possess:
A minimum of five credit passes in one sitting.
Credits in English Language and Mathematics.
Three other subjects relevant to the intended course of study.
Results obtained from SSCE, WASSCE, GCE O'Level or NECO.
Applicants must also have credit passes in all subjects required for their chosen JUPEB subject combination.

How to Apply for UNILAG JUPEB Admission
Step 1: Visit the Application Portal

Step 2: Review Subject Combinations
Carefully check the approved subject combinations for your intended course before proceeding with registration.
Step 3: Complete the Pre Application Form
Fill in the required details to generate a Payment Reference Number (PRN).
Ensure that:
Names match those on your NIN slip.
The arrangement of names matches your birth certificate and O'Level result.
Step 4: Pay the Application Fee
Take the generated PRN to any commercial bank in Nigeria and pay the application fee of ₦35,000 excluding bank charges.
Step 5: Complete the Online Application
After payment:
Return to the application portal.
Log in using your PRN.
Use your surname in lowercase as the password.
Complete the online form.
Step 6: Print Your Application Slip
Print two copies of the completed application form and keep them for reference.
