Eligibility Requirements for UNIPORT Post UTME Screening Form 2026/2027
Before proceeding with registration, you must confirm that you meet all the requirements set by the university. Applying without meeting these conditions could lead to disqualification.
1. JAMB Score Requirement
The University of Port Harcourt has set a minimum JAMB cut off mark of 160 for candidates seeking to apply for the 2026/2027 Post UTME screening exercise.
This is in line with the JAMB national policy minimum. However, note that individual departments may have higher cut off marks based on the volume of applications and the number of available spaces.
Scoring above the cut off mark greatly increases your chances of admission, but does not serve as an automatic guarantee.
2. First Choice Institution
Only candidates who chose the University of Port Harcourt as their first choice institution in the 2026 JAMB UTME are eligible to apply.
If you chose UNIPORT as your second choice, you can only apply after making a formal change of institution to UNIPORT as your first choice through the JAMB portal.
3. O-Level Requirements
Candidates must possess the relevant O-level credit passes in at least five subjects, including English Language and Mathematics (where applicable), in accordance with UNIPORT's specific entry requirements for each programme.
Candidates awaiting their O-level results (WAEC or NECO) are permitted to apply but must indicate this on their form and are required to upload their results to the JAMB CAPS portal as soon as they are available.
4. Age Requirement
Candidates must be 16 years of age or above by September 30, 2026, to be eligible for the screening exercise and subsequent admission.
