UNIUYO Admission Criteria
After selecting a course of study at the University of Uyo (UNIUYO), other factors follow to completely secure your provisional admission. Let's break it down;
UTME Score:
Prospective candidates of the University of Uyo must score at least 150 in the 2025 UTME, which is the qualifying mark to purchase the Post UTME screening form. Candidates should also note that scoring 150 does not guarantee admission.
O'level Result:
As a prospective student of the UNIUYO, you are expected to have a minimum of 5 credits, which must include a credit in English and Mathematics.
Science students must ensure to have at least a "C" in Biology, Physics, Chemistry, English, and Mathematics.
Pure arts students must pass English, Government, C.R.K, Literature in English, and Mathematics.
Students in the management field, your subject combination includes Commerce, Economics, English, Mathematics, and Account.
Technical students must have credit in the following subjects: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Electronics, and English.
Choice of Institution:
Prospective students must select UNIUYO as their first choice of institution.
Direct Entry student:
You must possess a National Diploma (ND), Higher National Diploma (HND), Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE), or GCE A level in a relevant field.
Age Limit:
No candidate below the age of 16 will be offered admission into the University of Uyo.

Q. Can I change my course after being admitted?
A. Yes, but you must have a high CGPA after your first year, at least 3.5, before being considered.
Q. Does UNIUYO accept second choice candidates?
A. UNIUYO only considers candidates who chose them as their first choice in JAMB.
Q. Can I combine results from two different exam bodies?
A. Yes, UNIUYO allows two sittings for candidates, but for competitive courses to stand a chance, candidates are advised to use one sitting.
Q. Does UNIUYO do pre degree programme?
A. Yes, if you could not get admission through the UTME route, pre degree could be the best option for you.
Q. Can I apply for Direct entry in UNIUYO with a Pass in my Diploma?
A. No, to be eligible for Direct entry into UNIUYO, you must have a minimum of lower credit for National Diploma.
