The Students Union Government of the University of Uyo has warned that no extension will be granted after the ongoing voter registration exercise closes on Sunday, urging all eligible students to complete their registration before the deadline.

In a press release dated June 26, 2026, issued by the Directorate of Information and Public Relations, the union stated that students who fail to register before the window closes will be ineligible to participate in the forthcoming Students Union, Faculty and Departmental elections.

The union also addressed registration irregularities, calling on students who discover that their registration numbers have been used without their knowledge or who encounter any other form of irregularity to report the matter immediately to Lydia Ukpong at the Student Affairs Division via 08135281930 for prompt resolution.

The Students Union reiterated that only duly registered students would be eligible to vote and contest in the upcoming elections, emphasising the importance of completing the process on time.
