Hostel Rules
The female hostel gate shuts at midnight, so don’t get locked out.
Leave stoves, hotplates, and heaters at home; they’re not allowed in the hostel.
Keep your room tidy. Nobody likes a mess.
Treat hall staff and security guards with respect.
Safety Tips
Always lock your door, even if you’re just stepping out for a minute.
Put your valuables in a locked locker.
Carry your ID card or admission letter with you.
If something’s wrong, speak up and report it right away.
ABU Dress Code
At ABU, you’re expected to dress neatly and modestly on campus. Think clean shirts, decent skirts or trousers, and outfits that actually cover you up.
Security at the gate won’t let you in if you show up in crazy jeans, sagging pants, or dreadlocks (for guys). Skip the mini skirts, crop tops, or anything see-through. They want a smart, put together look, not clothes that are too revealing.
Dressing well is not only about following rules; it also helps you feel more confident and demonstrates respect for yourself and your school.
Off Campus Accommodation
Lots of students live off campus, especially around Samaru, since there’s so much demand. If you’re looking for cheaper options that are less stressful, check out the Kongo side.
