Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu Alike Ikwo (AEFUNAI), has officially announced the commencement of its 2026/2027 Post UTME screening exercise.
As an aspiring candidate who made AEFUNAI their first choice in the 2025 UTME examination, the Post UTME Screening exercise would commence from the 25th May, 2026 and officially end on the 30th June, 2026.
However, following the placement guide of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), only candidates who scored a minimum of 150 are invited to purchase the Post UTME screening form.

Eligibility Criteria for AEFUNAI Post UTME Screening Form
To take part in the upcoming screening exercise held by AEFUNAI, you must meet the following criteria: remember, you must meet all criteria, not be found wanting in any.
Prospective candidates must have selected AEFUNAI as their first choice school in the 2026 JAMB registration.
Candidates must meet the Cut off assigned to their course of study.
Candidates must be above 16 years old.
Candidates for the Medicine and Surgery and Nursing Science programmes must obtain their O-level results in one sitting.
How to Register for AEFUNAI Post UTME Screening Exercise
To register for AEFUNAI 2026/2027 Post UTME screening exercise, follow the outlined steps.
Visit the university website: www.funai.edu.edu.ng go to 'Admissions' in the top menu
Click on 2026/2027 UTME admission screening
Enter your "JAMB registration number".
Generate a Remita retrieval reference number from the university portal
Proceed to any bank for your payment of 2,000 Naira with your Remita number
Return to the application page and enter your "JAMB registration number" again
Complete the registration process
Submit your application
Print out your acknowledgement slip
Important Information Regarding AEFUNAI Post UTME Screening Exercise
Candidates should ensure they upload their O-level results to the JAMB Portal on or before 30th June, 2026, as stipulated by the school authority.
Any application without an O-level uploaded on the JAMB Portal will not be processed.
Candidates should also note that after Tuesday, the 30th June, 2026, the access portal for the change of university/programme will no longer be available on JAMB CAPS for AEFUNAI.

A: The University body might set up a mop up excercise for candidates who missed their scheduled time.
Q: Can a candidate apply while awaiting O-level results?
A: Yes, candidates with an awaiting result apply, but the school management has a deadline of 30th June, 2026, to upload their result on the JAMB portal.
Q: Why do some departments keep their eligibility cut off mark above 150, which is the score approved by JAMB?
A: These departments have the highest number of applicants every session, and each department has a quota of students it cannot exceed for a session. This is done to help them regulate the inflow of candidates.
Q: Can I still change my course after sitting for the Post UTME screening exercise?
A: Yes, candidates can still change their applied course even after the exercise.
Q: Can I apply if AEFUNAI was not my first choice?
A: Yes, but you must visit a JAMB CBT centre to perform a "change of institution" to make AEFUNAI your first choice before the registration deadline. The university will not process applications for candidates who have it as a second or third choice.
Q: Does the university accept direct entry candidates?
A: Yes, however, AEFUNAI generally does not accept direct entry for medicine & surgery, law, or nursing. DE candidates for other courses must also register on the portal and provide their diploma or NCE details.
Q: Is there an expected date for the release of the 2025/2026 admission list?
A: The admission list is released after the entire screening process is concluded.
Q: Do I need to upload my photo?
A: Yes, a passport photograph on a white background is required during the online registration.
