Who Is Eligible to Apply for FUTO Screening?

For UTME Applicants

You are eligible if you:

  • Are at least 16 years old by 30 September 2025

  • Scored 150 or above in your UTME

  • You chose FUTO as your first choice or have changed to FUTO

  • Have at least five O-Level credits, including English and Mathematics

  • Have three other relevant subjects for your course

  • For Medicine and Surgery (MBBS), all five credits must be in one sitting.

For Direct Entry Applicants

If you are applying through Direct Entry, you must have one of the following:

  • OND

  • HND

  • A-Level

  • First Degree in a related course

  • In addition, your transcript must be sent to the Registrar, Federal University of Technology, Owerri, before 24th August 2025. Without your transcript, your application may not be considered.

FUTO Post UTME Application 2025/2026

FUTO has announced that the online screening application will run from Wednesday, 23rd July 2025, to Sunday, 31 August 2025. No extension has been confirmed, so it is safer to apply early and avoid last minute stress.

All applicants are required to pay a non-refundable fee of ₦2,000 only to register.

  2. Click on Generate Invoice

  3. Enter your JAMB registration number

  4. A Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) will be generated

  5. Pay at any bank or online using your ATM card

  6. Return to the Application portal: https://portal.futo.edu.ng/#undergraduate and click on Application Form

  7. Log in with your JAMB registration number

  8. Fill in your details correctly

  9. Review everything before submitting

  10. Click Submit

  11. Print your acknowledgement slip
