NOUN Requirements for Master's Degree
You need at least five O-Level credits, and English and Math have to be among them. Make sure it's not more than two sittings.
If you’re Nigerian, you’ll need to show your NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
For the PGD, bring a Bachelor’s degree with at least a Second Class Lower, or an HND in a related field.
You’ll also need two academic reference letters and a statement of purpose.
NOUN Requirements for PhD Degree
Thinking about applying for a PhD at NOUN? Here’s what you need:
If you’re going for a PhD in Law, you’ll need an LLM or MPhil with at least 60% or a 4.00 CGPA on a 5.00 scale.
If you have a CGPA of 3.50 or above, you can try for a PhD or MPhil in a related field.
You should have a Master’s degree with at least a 4.00 CGPA on a 5.00 scale from NOUN or any university the Senate recognises.
Everyone applying for a PhD will have to go through an interview, oral or written.
How Long is The Study Program at NOUN
Usually, undergrad programs run for four years, like a B.Sc. in Accounting, which takes 120 units. If you get in through direct entry, you can finish in three years with 90 units. But the longest you can stay is eight years.
For postgrad, diplomas take a year or two, master's degrees last two years, and PhD programs start at three years and can go longer.
Everything’s fully online, or you can use study materials, printed stuff, audio, videos, and even CDs. NOUN has two semesters each year. There aren’t your usual classroom lectures, except at a handful of study centres. Their undergrad programs last four years and give you a lot of flexibility to learn online.
