Rivers State University (RSU) has officially released its admission list for the 2025/2026 Academic Session. All candidates who took part in the Post UTME screening exercise of the university are to visit the JAMB CAPS portal and check if they have been offered provisional admission.

Candidates should also know that the admission list is released in batches; first, the merit list will be released, followed by the supplementary admission list, which is released in two batches. Candidates who failed to make the first list should not panic, as the admission list will most definitely cover all qualified students who met the cut off mark of the university.

Next Phase After Being Offered Admission into RSU

Accept Admission:

It does not just end with seeing admitted on your JAMB CAPS; the most important step to fully secure your admission spot is clicking on the accept icon under the congratulatory message. This is you telling JAMB you are okay with the course that was offered to you.

Candidates are usually given 4 weeks to accept their admission; failure to complete within the period will result in their admission being revoked.

Print Admission Letter:

This is one of the most important documents; it serves as clear proof that your admission was offered by the JAMB. All newly admitted students are expected to print the admission letter immediately after accepting their admission. It comes in two copies, one for candidates' use and the other for institutional use. The letter will be needed during your registration at RSU.

Pay Acceptance Fee:

All newly admitted students are to pay an acceptance fee of 50,000 naira to the university. The payment is made by visiting the university portal and generating an invoice that will be taken to the bank for payment.

The University usually gives a duration of 2 weeks to newly admitted students to complete the acceptance fee payment.

|A. It means the university has processed your name and forwarded it to JAMB, but JAMB is still reviewing your records.
