The school management of the University of Uyo (UNIUYO) has announced October 19th, 2025, as the official date of the portal opening.
The news was announced from a circulating memo from the student affairs division of the university. Encouraging interested students to visit the portal on the designated date and apply for their bedspaces. Students who must apply must have completed their school fees payment for the session
How to Apply for UNIUYO Hostel 2025/2026 Session
Here is how it works;
Head to the official UNIUYO student portal
Log in using your credentials (matriculation number and password).
Navigate to the hostel; you will find it in the main menu. Just scroll down and click where it says hostel.
Complete the application form
Generate your remita Invoice, pay online, or visit any commercial bank to make payment.
Return to the portal after the payment, and print your receipt.
Take that receipt to the Student Affairs Division to collect your room key and get properly checked in.

The hostel allocation is for all students, both freshmen and returning students are all eligible.
Students in 300L have a lower chance of getting a bedspace, as the management feels this category of students will head for the industrial training in the second semester.

There are rules and regulations that exist in the hostel, and all students living within its walls abide to it.
Rules and Regulations in UNIUYO Hostels
No Cooking in Rooms:
This is one of the most strictly enforced rules in the university hostel. The use of gas cylinders, electric boiling rings, or hot plates inside the rooms is strictly prohibited due to fire hazards
Curfew:
Students are generally expected to be within the hostel premises before 10 PM; staying out late without prior written permission from the Hall Warden is an offense.
Prohibited Substances:
Smoking, consumption of alcohol, and possession of illegal drugs are grounds for immediate expulsion from the hostel and potentially the university.
No Squatting:
Squatting is a major offense. If caught, both the legal occupant and the squatter face severe penalties.
Opposite gender Visits:
Visitors of the opposite gender are strictly prohibited from entering the living areas. They are only allowed in the common rooms during approved visiting hours.
