The University of Uyo has officially opened applications for its JUPEB Basic Studies Programme for the 2026/2027 academic session. This is a one year academic pathway designed for students who want to gain direct entry admission into 200 level in Nigerian universities, including UNIUYO.
For many students, this programme serves as a solid alternative route into higher education, especially for those who want to avoid the stress of repeated UTME attempts. It also gives learners enough time to prepare properly for university level studies.
UNIUYO JUPEB Basic Studies Programme 2026/2027
The JUPEB Basic Studies Programme at the University of Uyo is a one year intensive academic course that prepares students for the JUPEB examination.
Successful candidates can use their results to gain admission into 200 level through Direct Entry via JAMB, provided they meet the requirements of their chosen course.
The good thing about this programme is that a JAMB score is not needed to gain admission into the JUPEB class itself. However, JAMB will be required later when seeking admission into degree programmes.
Students who complete the programme and pass the JUPEB examination may gain admission into UNIUYO or other universities in Nigeria that accept JUPEB results.
