If you applied to study at the University of Jos for the 2025/2026 academic calendar year, you can now check your admission status both online and offline. Follow the instructions below to check it out.
Online Checking: You will visit https://portal.unijos.edu.ng/Account/CheckAdmission to check your admission status
Offline Checking: You will get a notification that your application is accepted either via email or SMS
If you do not get a notification, that means you didn't get the admission. If you have been offered admission, congratulations, and start the process of printing your admission letter. Let’s look at how to check your admission status from the JAMB Portal.
Check Admission Status on JAMB Portal
To be able to check your admission status on the JAMB Portal, please follow the instructions laid out below:
Log in to your Jamb profile using your username and password.
Click the "Check Admission Status" tab below.
After, click on Admission Status.
You can either click on "Check Admission Status" or you can click on "Access my CAPS".
Select the three dotted lines at the top right corner of your browser (i.e., ⋮) and then click "Desktop site".
Then click on admission status
You will either see "Admission in Progress, check back later", "Not Admitted", or "Congratulations".
If you notice the word CONGRATULATIONS, please either accept or decline your admission and await additional instructions.
If you notice that admission is underway, please be patient; the status will update in several days or weeks. Just return to check again later.
If you haven't been accepted, remain hopeful. There's still a chance for you to gain admission. Keep your spirits up.
How to Check UNIJOS Second Admission List
Initially, the UNIJOS admission list could only be accessed through the JAMB CAPS Portal and the JAMB Admission Portal.
However, we have now verified that the UNIJOS admission list is accessible on the university’s portal. To check your admission status on the JAMB Admission Portal, follow the steps outlined below:
Visit https://unijos.edu.ng
Click on Portal
Select Students’ Portal
Click on CHECK ADMISSION
Enter your JAMB Registration Number and Click Get Started
Once admitted, proceed with registration.
You can follow the steps below to check your admission on the JAMB Admission Portal.
Log in to your Jamb profile with your username and password.
Click the ‘Check Admission Status‘ tab.
Select your exam year and enter your registration number in the required columns.
Finally, click on ‘Check Admission Status‘ to access your UNIJOS admission status.
If Admitted: You have to ACCEPT or REJECT your admission offer on the JAMB portal
How to Print Your Admission Letter
If you've checked your admission status on the JAMB portal, you can proceed to print your admission details by following the instructions below:
Simply type in your login details.
Select “Print Admission Letter".
Once you select this service, a transaction ID is generated.
Review the details displayed on the Confirmation Page.
Click on the Continue button if you wish to pay with your card immediately.
On the Interswitch Payment page, enter your card details and click on the Pay button.
The status of your payment will be displayed in the “My Payment Section”.
Click on the Continue button.
Once payment is completed, you will be asked to provide the following: a. Year of Exam and b. JAMB Registration Number
Once you have accurately entered the information, you can proceed to print the Admission Letter Slip as displayed on the screen.
